design & design for letterpress are two different things

“If you are a designer looking for someone to print YOUR design work and you’re thinking letterpress because you want a deep impression in cotton paper, we are NOT the studio for you; WE DO NOT PRINT OUTSIDE-DESIGNED PROJECTS”

I don’t disagree, but thankfully Fireproof Press (where apparently Jen/Starshaped learned the trade) let me do exactly that, thus exposing me to the true art of the old-style printing. If you design for the printing process, then surely you can find a small letterpress printer to talk to and collaborate with. It also helps to have an abundance of funds or top-level prescription drugs to offer. If you are a shitty designer (and you probably are), you will be rightfully pointed toward Vista Print.
